WHEN one states an opinion, it may often be the one you really really would rather not hear. But then, may be it is the one that you know has a kernel of truth. That is exactly why you may sometimes find that WSN provides platform to writers who dare to say the truth. Much like the opinion Nicolas Boileau had of Louis XIV’s poetic rigours. When Louis XIV solicited Boileau's opinion of several poems which he had composed, Boileau, an honest man to a fault, was in a tight spot. What to say...? “Sire, nothing is impossible for Your Majesty,” he ventured tactfully. “Your Majesty has set out to write bad verses - and has succeeded!” But even if at times the tact is not there, and truth is, do bear. Boileaus of this world need to be heard, to be read. WSN’s columns are open to them.
