First Sikh attempts Guiness World Record

A Sikh man, Jagjit Singh Batalvi, from Toronto will attempt to enter the Guiness World Record Book with an amazing feat of playing "Tabla" for 110 hrs continuously. He will start on October 3rd and finish by October 7th 2007.

Jagjit Singh Batalvi is a disciple of Tabla Greats Ustad Allah Rakha Khan and Ustad Zakir Hussein from India. He has been practising Tabla since he was 5. He is originally from Punjab, India now settled in Toronto.
