Induz hosts the
“Induz Lifestyle Carnivale”
on September 8th, 2007

CA: Induz,
a registered non-profit event management organization, held it
flagship annual charity event of 2007, the Induz Lifestyle
Carnivale, on Saturday September 8th at the Sunnyvale
Temple Community Center to an audience of over 1000+ throughout the
day. The LifeStyle Carnivŕle was highly successful event which
brought together a variety of performances – from magic show, to
yoga demonstration, story time, kids and adult fashion show, music
and dance contest etc. The event
started at 12 noon and went on till 11 PM hosting various local
merchants and vendors and showcasing some of the brightest talent in
the bay area’s south Asian community. The event also served as a
platform for various other non-profits to reach out to the
community.
The day also
marked the launch of Induz Idols, a talent show in the
categories of singing, dance and fashion modeling. Anu Natarajan,
council woman of Fremont kicked off the contest and awarded Induz
with a proclamation. After several auditions over the last six
weeks, finals were held on the 8th announcing winners in
all categories and featuring them in various publications through
Induzs’ media partners. The singing contest started with an
interview of the mentor, Zee SaReGaMa 2000 Regional Winner, Moonmita
Ghosh, followed by her melodious song performances of 2 songs.
The children’s
fashion show choreographed by Piya Mitra, of Elegant Eventz stole
the audience’s hearts with adorable li’l models showing of different
designer collections.
The fashion show
(adult category) was a feast for the eyes. There were 3 segments,
50's Jazz Segment, Doli Segment & the idols segment. Choreography by
Piya Mitra was very creative and unique. It was a spectacular show.
Honorable Mayor
of
Sunnyvale, Mr,. Otto Lee awarded Induz a certificate and recognized
their contribution to the community. Ray Mitra, founder of Induz,
accepted the award. The mayor also gave away awards to the Idol
winners.
Both the title
sponsors (Ameriprise Financials & Cornerstone Reality) expressed
immense satisfaction being part of the event.

of the programs was definitely impressive. The hard work of Ray
Mitra, the event organizer and the volunteer team paid off.”
Bring Me a Book
Foundation & Indian Life& Style Magazine awarded Induz for their
great contribution to the community and bringing diverse communities
together.
The event
supported two non-profit charitable organizations: a)The Sankara Eye
Foundation and b) The Bring Me a Book Foundation.
The mission of
Induz, a non profit, charity and volunteer driven
organization in the San Francisco Bay Area, is:
(a)
Provide a platform for upcoming individuals or groups to showcase
their talents focusing in areas of entertainment such as music,
fashion, dance, comedy, etc.
(b)
Raise awareness and funds for well deserved charities, through its
events.
(c)
Encourage volunteerism that enable individuals to volunteer in areas
they are passionate about; thereby increasing volunteer
participation
(d)
Believes in bringing diverse bay area communities together into a
global community
