Gurdwara's new president

Gurdwara
Sahib of Fremont's former Supreme Council member S. Harjot Singh
Khalsa will be the President of the new management committee while
S. Bikramjit Singh will be senior vice president and S. Hardev Singh
Bhalwan will be the vice president of the committee.
The announcement
was made by the Sadh Sangat slate and the United Sikh Alliance which
had swept the Supreme Council elections to Fremont gurdwara
recently. The crucial post of General Secretary has gone to S.
Satnam Singh Khalsa while S. Harjinder Singh Waraich has been made
treasurer of the management. Gurinder Singh Sidhu and Bibi Gurmit
Kaur Chheena will be assistant treasurers. Among the members of the
management committee will be S. Jarnail Singh Ghuman, S. Bahadur
Singh and S. Onkar Singh Bahia. As per its already announced stance,
the winners got in touch with all the contesting parties in the
recent elections as they wished to give representation to all.
The
opposition faction assured of cooperation even while remaining
outside the management committee. S. Harpreet Singh Bains, a close
associate of Bhai Ram Singh, the only winner from the opposite side
in the Supreme Council, was included in the committee but he
expressed inability to serve owing to personal reasons. Meanhile, S.
Harjjot Singh Khalsa and S. Satnam Singh Khalsa thanked the sangat
for entrusting them with this responsibility and sought cooperation
from all quarters. In a joint signed statement by all members of the
new committee, the sangat was assured that efforts will be made to
further solidify the atmosphere of cooperation and harmony and an
appeal was made for search for creative and innovative ideas and
efforts to pull the Gurdwara Sahib from a deep financial crisis.
