Bhupinder Singh Holland of Netherlands was honored by SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar at the Golden Temple for his book “How Europe is Indebted to the Sikhs”.

Holland said as the Sikhs had made tremendous contribution in the World War I and II it was necessary to bring out the significant role of the community in the two wars.

Bhupinder Singh has been living in the Netherlands since 1973 where he works as Accounting Analyst for IBM Nederlands. Born in Amritsar, he studied at the Khalsa College.

He has made significant contribution to the Sikh cause in Europe. Besides two books, he has written a number of articles on various current issues concerning the Sikhs especially in the Europe and his articles have been published in the major newspapers of Punjab, USA, Canada and Europe..
