CHICAGO: First
Board meeting for the newly elected SRS Board (2008-2010) was held
on Saturday, April 12th 2008, in SRS premises and was attended by
the following SRS Board of Trustees Amarjit Kaur Atwal, Surinder
Kaur Sangha , Narinder Pal Singh Marwaha , Jatinder Singh Grewal and
Jaspreet Singh Atwal, Satwant Singh Attal, Sokhi Singh , Harkirat
Singh Sandhu. S. Sadhu Singh Rikhiraj was absent.
Elections were
held for the executive posts for the SRS board of trustees and
following Board of trustees were elected unopposed : Jaspreet Singh
Atwal : President , Jatinder Singh Grewal : Executive Secretary ,
Narinder Pal Singh Marwaha : Religious Secretary and Harkirat Singh
Sandhu : Finacial Secetary. Newly elected SRS President Jaspreet
Singh Atwal proposed the names of the other SRS Board of trustees
for the following seva: Amarjit Kaur Atwal : School & Youth Affairs,
Surinder Kaur Sangha :Women Affairs & Community Service, Satwant
Singh Attal : Langar , Sokhi Singh : Special Events and Sadhu singh
Rikhiraj : Maintenance.
With the
exception of S Sadhu Singh Rikhiraj who was absent all other Board
of Trustees accepted their seva assigned to them & promised to work
for the betterment of Sikh community and human kind. Meeting was
held open in public and was attended by over 25 members of Sangat.
We as board of Trustees would like to thank Sangat for their trust
in the candidates who have been elected to represent Sangat in SRS
Board.
