Mann continues with tirade, warns
against touching lion's tail
WSN Network
Bathinda: In
remarks which are now part of a pattern discernible every time
Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann addresses the media, he has said that
his remarks about Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu and others which were
being seen as part of an internecine war were actually very
necessary as he wanted to set the record straight.
"My political
opponents should beware that by attacking me they are touching the
lion's tail," Sardar Mann told reporters in Bathinda on October 4;
his remarks were widely published the next day in vernacular media.
In fact, he granted an exclusive interview to the correspondent of
Ajit, the mass circulation Punjabi daily. He alleged that Bhai
Daljit Singh Bittu and the Sikh Youth of America have begun a
systematic campaign against him and he was under obligation to
present his case before the Sikh sangat.
Clearly sending
signals that he was in no mood to make any effort to pull back the
horses in this internecine war, Sardar Mann said he would soon bring
it to the fore as to which political leader or person connected
directly or indirectly to the militancy era and movement has made
how much property or money since 1984. "I will myself hire buses and
transport the Sikh sangat to these properties," Sardar Mann said,
and alleged that certain leaders have made palatial properties at
Noorpur Bedi and Pilibhit area.
He alleged that
some people were made to make cell phone calls from within the high
security Nabha Jail asking his party's second rung leaders to rebel
against his leadership, but Sardar Mann did not name anyone, neither
did he make clear in whose interest was such suppression of facts.
He even attacked the Jathdar of Takht Damdama Sahib, Balwant Singh
Nandgarh, saying the Jathedar should himself kill the Sirsa dera
head or ask his son to do that rather than exhorting anyone else to
avenge the Dera Sadh's insults meted out to the Sikh community.
